We are looking at renting a barn. The barn is 30m wide and 46m long.
How much would you expect to pay yearly?
-
Suspect owner has given you a figure & you think its steep so want to know the going rate?
Depends on what you're going to put in it? basic storage or animals?
Does it have lec & water?
Good access & security?
Now assess whether its worth it given the above criteria.
Sorry can't be more help.

It is only worth what you are willing to pay , and for what purpose , caravan storage can be expensive, as a lambing barn probably only £50 a month, you should ring round the local estate agents who will give you a ballpark figure.

Ok so some background info.
It's for my sheep and storage for hay etc. There is water but it's been unused for a few years so no lecy. I am waiting to hear back from the owners with more details and price but wanted a rough idea what to expect. Good secure access but rather loud as it's next to the motoway

Another thought - who else is in the market for this particular barn - is there any competition? If not, then I would suspect that the owner won't want to lose out on a potential rental income and will be more amenable to haggling. If ther are others after it then he/she can be picky and expect more.

If those measurements are correct that is a massive barn. Its more like an industrial building than a lambing shed. Prices will vary from farm to farm. You could always make a bit of money back by storing caravans for people or similar things. Thats what my boss does for extra income. £300 per year per car or caravan just for storage.
