Title: Grooming
Post by: kelly58 on January 12, 2014, 12:10:47 pm
Hi  could anyone tell me do pigs ' groom'  each other ? One of mine seemed to be nibbling her  mate round the ears and head this morning :pig:

Yes, mine do (though I suspect it's to catch the crumbs of pig nuts that are on the others backs)
I've also got a gilt that likes to 'rub' all the others with her snout - it's not aggressive, she just wanders round rubbing them all - most of them seem to tolerate her antics  :D

Yes but only as second best to what I offer them. Ours are like dogs and having a brush with an old pony brush is heaven to them. :pig:

Don't forget to slap some pig oil on them too. :eyelashes:
