Hopefully in a month or two we will have a few additions to our little flock if tupping has gone to plan so will need ear tags.
was wondering which ones people would recommend (and where they get them from). Seems to be a dizzying array but was wondering if there were ones people really rated or are to be avoided.
Thanks.

I have been happy using Shearwell tags. The staff were very helpful and patient when I was unsure what to order, and sent me a free tagger too.

Allflex Bubblegum - soft and flexible, good retention, clear numbers. Look big for small ears but fit down to Soay sized.

I used ketchums as they are only a few miles from us so I used to collect but they have now moved :'(
The tags were just there breeding tags, I'm pretty sure they will replace for free any tags that fall out

If you ask this question on the large farming forums (or talk to a number of farmers) you will find that Shearwell regularly turn out on top by a large margin;
excellent service
good quality tags
top retention rates
good prices
order over the phone---easy . look them up --shearwell data
