Title: Fluke question
Post by: JMB on January 04, 2014, 06:56:11 pm
Hello xxx
We are due to fluke our sheep again in late January.
Am I right in thinking that I should be using a flukicide against adult flukes only at this time of year and the next couple of months?
Just trying not to use triclabendazole again.

Also, I have some Mebadown left from early last year, nowhere near expiry date, but I think I read somewhere on TAS ( can't find it now) that you're supposed to use it within 3 months of opening. I could have dreamt this.... Nothing on the packet to indicate.
Thank you
Joanne xxxxxx

To early yet to do only Adult fluke  :raining: but your  MEBADOWN SUPER ???  is a closantal   based fluke drench cum wormer and will kill immatures as well so perfect   .  no mention in noah of using within 3 mths of opening

closantel only gets some of the immatures, there's a good graph about 3/4 of the way down this page (and lots of other good info):
