can also mean lots of love, take a pick, lol
you're not thick at all, Annie aboslutely puzzled me with all her abbreviations in CAPITALS the other day in one of her posts (I don't dare asking what they mean or I might have to remember!):&>
-
I am a bit old fashions.....NOT!!! I only send LOVE when I mean it!!!
-
It can also mean 'loads of laughs'
How about ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing)
IMVHO - in my very honest opinion (sometimes without the very)
IYCMD - if you catch my drift
tHERE ARE LOADS MORE BUT i CAN NEVER REMEMBER THEM - i'M OLD FASHIONED TOO AND DOA SPELL CHECK ON EVERY MESSAGE AS I ALWAYS MISTYPE - and accidentally switch on teh caps lock ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There are very few people I would not send love tooo....i am a true HIPPY..LOVE TO YOU ALL!! ( Steve is being very sentimenatal tonight.....must go to bed, early start tomorrow, loads of people comming and loads to do!! love this job!! best job yet!!!
-
I kinda like my job too - doing nought! LOL ;) ;D ;D ;D
-
learnt a lot ;)

In my former life...before smallholding...I was responsible for inducting new Business Advisers for the Business Link initiative...loads of jargon and abbreviations to impart and often had complaints from inductees who vowed they would never use them...I used to challenge them to donate a £1 for every time they fell into the trap in a report within the first six months of taking on the post...usually made around £50 a time, which we donated to a selected local charity...lol
I may be the only person in Britain (or possibly the world) who has never sent a text...I can't get my head around it and just can't be bothered to learn all the abbreviations...must be brain overload from my previous life!

All my texts are in longhand........with proper punctuation. ;D I can't bring myself to enter the modern world.
-
Me too! I can't stand all this abreviation stuff.
-
When I bought my parents their first mobile phone, the first text they sent me said..
"hellohowdoyoudospaces"
which I thought was great!
Now my mum texts me every day, makes up her own abbreviations and even tells me whats on the telly I might want to watch!
-
I do punctuation in texts. I don't know how to do capitals in a sentence though.
Another abreviation is RTFM - read the f****** manual!
SNAFU - sintuation normal, all F***** up (used to use that at work a lot)
-
Voice text's are funny, my daughter sent one and it was a computerised voice, funny to hear a female Steepen Hawkins say " love you mummy" I rarely text, used to text when my OH worked in a small office in housing, some bright spark somehow changed my partner and his admin workers phones over so I was sending slightly "rude" texts to the Admin man who had a mild form of Autism...he wondered who was sending them :-[!!! Another funny text my partner got was again, from his mates in housing, we had just moved and he said to me, someone has mistakenly sent me a strange text it said " Happy Easter from Marge and Jim at the Alzheimers Society" it was Christmas so I saw the joke instantly but my OH took ages to click on ;) ;)
-
That RTFM one has been quoted at me on countless occasions by my techie son. Mainly because I fiddle around with new things rather than sit down and read how it is supposed to work ::)
-
Farmer - my mum used to be a teacher - she made her kids pay for swearing in class or on school grounds. At the end of the year the worst culprits had paid for the whole class's treat, like a visit to the ice cream parlour. It actually worked as nobody fancied paying for everybody else, ;D.
I text only when I can't avoid it, but then in proper style. For that it takes me ages to finish one message...I hate if I can't understand what someone wants to say! Teenage language code, arrggh! (I know I'm not supposed to) :&>
-
Understand their text!!... I can't even understand what the say when they talk!!! Ya-No-Wha-A-Meen-Bro!!!
Sorry Northfifeduckling

Seen a great Aussie video on You tube about a young person talking, I love Kevin and Perry go large, so accurate!!!
-
;D ;D
-
Another one - PONTI Person of no tactical importance. Army one but relevant in civvy street too!
-
My teenage sons laugh when I try to text them. I insist on writing everything in full, with proper punctuation and spelling!
