Its at times like these that you find out who your real mates are. At the moment, I've got six 15 week old piglets who are not feeling too well and who definitely have the a bout of the squits. Get rid of the 'Q' and the 'U', add an 'H' and you know what I mean. :o
At 5.30pm tonight my two mates Dave and Noel attended in their nurses uniforms and helped me stick a needle full of 'pen and strep' behind my piggies 'ear oles' .
The pig pen was not quite knee deep but my mates knew that I was in the s**t and they were quite happy to take a bath in it with me. Yup Its only when your really in the s**t that you truly find out who your real mates are.
Night night piggies, sleep tight and I hope to God that you're feeling better in the morning.
Thanks lads and thanks to Karen for giving up her one and only lip stick so that we could mark which pigs had been done. :pig:

Good friends are hard to come by when you're up against it. I hope your pigs improve soon.

True friends indeed! Hope your piglets are better soon.

They sound like great friends to have. Good luck with the pigs. Hope they get well soon.

Hi bodger
hope piglets are on mend, not being funny but if they are indeed knee deep in mud as your posting portrays this may be the very source of their upset tums! Small piglets don't like the cold and wet and it maybe that they've ingested their own excrement coz they're toileting too close to home, if you have the wherewithall to move them somewhere dryer and cleaner for a few days you may find a better improvement.
HTh and they're cured soon its always a worry.

We left home early this morning and I deliberately didn't feed the pigs before leaving. We got back home at around 3.00pm and the pigs were quite a bit more lively than they were all day yesterday.
I've just fed them less than half of what they usually get and they've cleared it all up. They aren't getting anymore food tonight but as long as they are OK in the morning, then they'll be back on full rations. I absolutely hate it when things aren't right with animals. Fingers crossed that they continue to mend and many thanks to the folk who've helped and advised me. I wouldn't know what to do without you. :pig:
