Title: Malteasers!
Post by: madchickenlady on December 20, 2013, 06:45:34 pm
Just found the oddest egg, looks just like a malteaser  :roflanim: a little larger but round and dark brown! I have two Copper Marans that have been laying normally (although neither laid today) so no idea who is responsible for this one!

yes, one can get the funniest looking eggs. I have one duck that consistenly lays some large ones that on one end almost resemble a witches' hat! Some also lay Quails' sized eggs in the spring.  :roflanim: :&>

Could be one laid a 'wind' egg Madchickenlady. It will be just white inside, formed round a small speck of something. Happens occasionally- some of ours have laid two or three in their lifetime, most have never laid one. They usually weigh about 20 grammes.
