for anyone thinking about getting a few chickens or as a reminder to those of us how we started our journey into poultry keeping or even just as a nice easy, funny book to read, I would recommend it! By Julie Hollander, its a nice little book, full of useful info but told as a story, I'm half way through it but it made me chuckle and she obviously did her research but it reads as a funny story instead of the usual endless paragraphs about regulations and DEFRA etc :chook:

I loved reading this book too!
(when I was at the stage of just about daring to dream that one day I'd have my own chickens...)
Months later I looked up the book reviews on the Amazon page - hilarious:
there are several outraged comments about how the writer dare to kill one of her chickens and - the horror! - feed the chicken soup to her children. :roflanim:

I felt compelled to add my own review to the amazon reviews as some of the views posted on there were just ridiculous!

Jus :excited:t bought it!!

Sometimes the reviews are deliberately OTT. There are some hilarious ones (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Veet-Men-Hair-Removal-Creme/dp/B000KKNQBK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top) if you look hard enough
