I've got two OSB sows in pig to sell -where's the best place to sell them? I am in East Sussex and would prefer not to send them to market - call it sentiment - but they are favourites and deserve good homes.
One is 18 months-old on her third litter and the other is an old pro. Any suggestions please

Can you even sell them at market when they are (confirmed?) in-pig ?

yes so long as they are not too close to farrowing
are they pedigree ?

If they are Registered & in-pig to a Registered boar you could advertise them on the OSB Society website - folks are often looking for young, proven sows in rare/minority breeds - especially if they are in-pig to a good boar.

There's an OSB page on Facebook - and a group where you can post ads for pedigree stock: https://www.facebook.com/groups/615613551803780/ (https://www.facebook.com/groups/615613551803780/)

Thanks for the advice and suggestions - much appreciated - and will be acted on!!
In reply to the question 'are they pedigree'? The answer is that the younger of the two sows is from the Barnsnap herd, however she is not registered. The older sow is certainly an OSB but her history is obscure. I got bought her from a smallholding where she was being kept in miserable conditions. The boar is registered.
