Post by: lachlanandmarcus on December 04, 2013, 10:30:20 pm
This place is being advertised for sale and there was a link to it on the crofting highland FB page, and I thought peeps on here might be interested cos of the combo of land and craft workshop and really nice house.

its been for sale for ages. it was with 50 acres, but i think its overpriced. it is really lovely though.

The extra land is still available by sep neg if required.

Not sure about price, I haven't seen any other old place so nicely done and with the light bright conservatory and the workshop too. So I guess it's a one off.

i do love the inside. flooring is gorgeous.

the problem when someone converts a steading, it tends to leave the farm without enough barns, and in orkney they usually winter in.
we live in a converted barn in aberdeenshire and dont have enough barns for our animals, so expensive to build it a right pest, especially as iv no-one to milk the cow - or put her calf.
(first priority in the new place is enough barns for all the animals,)
