Its very weird here this morning the very loud annoying accidental cockerel problem was finally resolved yesterday into the freezer with a very good lesson from a fellow TASer...
Its very quiet today and the girl chooks look a bit lost, oh well at least the neighbours won't be annoyed any more and I have a couple of good meals to look forward too!!!

Were your neighbours actually complaining about noise in the daytime? ::)
-
we had over heard comments between them that were obviously meant to be heard...
and our landlady doesn't know we have chooks so...

We looked at a house that is now sold, its at the back of ours and they had a cockerel and I had never heard it at all!! Best to keep on the good side of a Landlord.......I know I would never have a cockerel but do miss our chickens and ducks a lot!

It's a big relief when the trouble goes when they arent permitted :relief: our 3 cockerels crowed through the day having competitions as to who could be loudest  we aren't to keep cockerels and some nieghbours did keep reminding us ::) but thebother neighbours kept telling us the sound was great and they couldn't think of them being killed :-\
When the third one went in the freezer we were both so relieved and managed to lie in bed past 5am without fear of them yelling for the coop to be opened :tired:
Enjoy your peaceful days bloomer. And the Sunday dinners :yum: ;D

We had some Hubbards to grow and one or two of them just started a feeble crow, thankfully they never made it to fully mature males and they ended up as Christmas dinner!!
