Title: Hi, help needed for pig transportation! - Nottingham
Post by: ChrisMcCabe on November 24, 2013, 09:40:30 pm
Hi,

I am looking for some help really! I started keeping pigs this year in June and overall it's been a great experience, but I have really struggled recently with the logistics of getting them to the abbatoir. I have a small horse trailer but having phoned to check if this is ok, I have been told that I really need to have a proper livestock trailer with side barriers to deliver them.

I am hoping somebody may be able to rent me a smallish suitable trailer for me to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Whilst it is good to be able to take them yourself, I have found that it is cheaper to pay for a livestock transporter to take mine. I would have 180 mile round trip though .
