I think Raisdale sounds lovely. Much better than Carlton. Have you a river nearby with a nice sounding name? Did Carlton have an ancient name which has been simplified to Carlton? Any landmarks to inspire you? Personally think Raisdale has a nice ring though.

do a quick internet search and see what comes up with your name.
ours is our farm name which is very unusual. are you planning on selling your meat to the public? if so you might want to trademark it (depends big your dreams are) , so check trademarksdirect to see if its already taken

what are the rules for the society? some want location in the name, others dont.

Raisdale sounds good to me, too.
