Title: Can you freeze left over rusk?
Post by: caracroft on November 13, 2013, 09:17:43 pm
Hi

I have just made all the sausages for this year, from my pigs and still have a bag of rusk left over.
The best before date is earlier than I would ever be able to finish the next lot of pigs so can I freeze the bag for next Autumn?

Thanks for any help

Rusk is dry so I can't see freezing it having much effect. It will be ok long after it's BB date so long as it's kept dry in an airtight bag or container.
