Title: Eggs in Poo...
Post by: Hillview Farm on November 12, 2013, 09:30:33 am
I've noticed small white egg looking things on the poo in the field. I've watched all the animals poo and none have produced anything with these eggs on them or signs of worms (they were wormed about 3 weeks ago)

I've picked up some of the poo with the eggs on it and pulled it apart and there is nothing inside them Soooo Is it just flies laying eggs on the poo once laid?

I would have thought it was external fly blows on the poo.  I have seen the same thing on dog poo, fresh droppings seem to attract the fly’s amazingly quickly.  Wouldn’t tape worm be also found inside rather than outside the droppings and be significantly larger?
