Having been away from the Croft for a month. I have come back and the house is over run with Mice.
Had 6 in the drawer which was used for the dish towels, but that had got closed when a friend checked the house over and they were dead.. I can hear them in the roof space and will never be able to seal all the holes due to the stone construction of the building.
I am considering using poison for the first time. there are no issues wih pets. However if they take it back to the nest and die, would it not cause a problem withing rotting and the associated smell.
Any brand recommendations would be helpful.

Jaguar.

Yes, they would crawl off and die in the walls probably. Smell is horrible but usually only lasts a couple of weeks - how about a cat? or find all the places they can get from the walls into the actual house and block them up?

When it comes to cat p*** and a dead mouse, its a close run thing. :innocent:

Floyd, traps are cheap & effective, bait them with raisins. One on the trap and a few in front of it to give them the taste and draw them in. Then you can dispose of the bodies.

traps but use rolo's as bait or peanut butter

You give rolos to a mouse. Are you mad ! Not your last one I presume ?
On a serious not yes chocolate works, as do boiled sweets. Raisins are just something you usually have in the cupboard and work well.
