Title: can i use up my foal mix on my goats or sheep to save throwing it away
Post by: lizzypeg on November 08, 2013, 11:32:51 am
I have a bag of recently opened pony foal mix I don't need for the foal..can I feed it to my two wether pygmies in tiny quantities or my ewes?
im thinking its probably safer to feed it to the ewes that the wether goats?

any ideas if its worth doing or not worth the risk?

Not to the sheep but yes to the goats (Copper content :)  )

It should be fine to feed to the goats. We sometimes feed a horse mix if we have a picky milker who needs tempting with different food.

you can feed it the same way as you would a calf mix.
