Well the first snow of the winter arrived this morning :-\ , way too early considering we can still have snow in April ::)
-
Yeh, the hills around were white this morning, though it was falling as sleet at the actual house. Definitely could do without it. I would like a hard frost though, the ground being not-mud-soup would be nice!
-
:o Frost a couple of mornings here but mostly very wet. Ground saturated and little streams running through our paddocks.
-
Wow snow, that's really early
-
When I worked in Jedburgh in the 60's we got snow quite often at the start of November.
-
:o just talking about your area at the weekend and wondering how soon the snow arrived before us. Didn't think it would appear quite so suddenly. Unfortunately it's the only reason we have been put off buying a house up there :cold: and digging our way out to work :D
-
Blimey, we are still in T shirts down here ,
-
We had our first snow on Sunday  . Only on the hills round us and it was gone by Monday, but I was still very surprised when I looked out the window.
-
Wow, there was nothing like that for us around Allendale way and we're not that far away... I'd better get more organised with the preparations - snow shovel, winter tyres, etc!
-
Bloody hell :o
-
Even a woosie like me is still in a tee shirt ;D . Warm, waterlogged ground, and the flies are still about :P .
-

That was the road from Allenheads to Nenthead , by late afternoon it had all melted
we have given up on snow shovels now, bought a snow blower so we are ready this year ::)
-
I was looking at a farm at nenthead but im not sure now we have only had frost
-
It looks very pretty though Sokel. Don't think it has ever snowed here, which is something I'll miss. To see snow we have to drive South to the Pyrenees. We did have a light frost last week though, which signalled the end of tee shirt weather.

It's been cold enough here to get me thinking of seeking out the long Johns, but so far no real frost or snow... I'd been to the west coast (of Scotland) at the weekend (my first "holiday" for two years, and it was only two nights!) - the hills were white, and it looked stunning...
Must get the garden tidied up at the weekend; I'm sure winter's just round the corner.
-
I've been in Long Johns for about a month now. Fairly warm here for the time of year and we have only had one fall of snow about a week ago
