I'm putting up a polytunnel house..initially for sheep and goats. What floor do you suggest I go for.
1.. If I leave the soil in place will it get muddy or will it dry out into a nice dusty surface.
2..Should I put down a membrane and then wood chip.
3.. Should I remove the soil and job stuff go for the subsoil.
4.. Combination of above.
Advice please.

the nicest polytunnel if been in had a membrane and woodchip floor with raised beds. Not optimum use of space but it was really lovely.

The soil will certainly become quite dusty after a couple of months - even in winter. I've only ever kept chickens in the polytunnel so I'm afraid I can't answer you other questions.
Having said that, it would be a convenient place to keep my sheep during the worst of the winter. How do you deal with the dung though?
