That was much faster than I expected, but I guess it helps when you've been pondering Rural Scene for the past year :D We've made an offer on a place in mid-Wales, outside Machynlleth, and had it accepted, so now it's fingers crossed that the survey doesn't turn up anything terrible. Really excited :o :excited: :o It's about 18 acres but very mixed, so maybe only 1/3 of that is moderately flat pasture, and maybe another couple of acres that could be okay for a few sheep and possibly pigs, with the rest being very sloping woodland and pond and stream.

Well done. :fc: for the survey and searches
-
:excited: Exciting times. I hope the survey goes well and all the legals are conducted quickly and efficiently. when are you hoping to move in?
-
:excited: , that's good news, now hope that the survey comes back Ok and your on a roll!

Thanks all! I'll be happy as long as we're able to be in with plenty of time for starting the veg garden in the spring. I really didn't want to wind up waiting through a whole year to catch the next growing season. I expect it makes more sense to plan on starting with chickens in the spring, too?

Nope not Mallwyd, don't think I've seen that one. It's by Talywern. If the survey includes mining I will promise to post it ;D

Congratulations and good luck with the rest of the process!
It brings back the good (and bad) memories from our purchase/move earlier this year. Of course now that we've been in nearly 5 months we can choose not to remember the stressful parts quite as much!

Congrats  Hope it all goes exceedingly well for you :fc:

Lovely spot can highly recommend the pub in Carno for lunch and a trip to Dolgoch falls and the pub there is a must visit, both places do B&B if you need to stop over cottages for rent at Dolgoch are lovely.
The market in Mach is very good
We wish you luck

Completion tomorrow! Super excited, don't quite know what to do with myself today :excited: It was a pretty epic adventure in conveyancing, many title and rights complications, but everything sorted out properly in the end. Very pleased with conveyancing solicitor, Adrian Foulkes at Milwyn Jenkins & Jenkins -- would definitely recommend for others looking in mid-Wales. Lots of planning to do now so I shall hie myself to the grassland management forum to beg for advice :farmer: ;D
