I popped down to my local village this afternoon as they are holding their annual village fair this weekend.
First I got a free beer, them about 10 kgs of clementines, followed by god only knows how many portions of food and snacks all for nothing.
I also met a local guy also called stebbe (Steve) who has his own olive mill in his house at the bottom of my mountain.
This is run in the traditional way producing organic cold pressed virgin olive oil.
He is coming up to my farm to let me know which trees to harvest and when.
He is part of a conglomerate of three farms producing fantastic oil and would like me to join them.
All in all, a brilliant worthwhile evening :)

Sounds absolutely great - how long did you say you have you been moved in over there now? Also whats the weather and temperature like at present?

I've been living here permanently for nearly three years now, but I bought the farm 8 years ago and spent 5 years coming over one week each month to build the house and 3 weeks in uk to earn the money to do it.
The weather has been good this month mid to high 20's in the day with a couple of days at 32c and no lower than 18 at night. Currently at 6am 19c. Really need some rain soon though.

Sounds great. I'm jealous too. I'll swap you some of our rain for some of your heat.
