Maybe some enterprising smallholder could start off like Bernard Mathews did and keep turkeys in the downstairs rooms with offices and living accommodation on the first floor - and plenty of buckets on the top floor.  :roflanim:

:o :o , that's HUGE......worth watching out for who buy's it and what it becomes. I love watching the house buying programmes and missed the end of the programme that a huge hotel was going for £45,000...for that place you would need a lot of D.I.Y skills...My grans family were from County Mayo

I bet it would swallow money like there is no tomorrow. Imagine the heating and council tax bills. Better off being bought by a council as they can afford it, though maybe not if it's in Ireland. Lol

I wouldn't mind betting that it's in a state at that price. It must have been lovely at one time though.

What's happened to several large country houses around here is co-ownership (srt of upmarket version of a commune) where everyone has a flat of their own and pay a sub for the council tax, to maintain the common areas, etc.  Jolly fun at high days and holidays where it's bring-a-plate in the dining hall.  Convert the grounds to vegetable garden and orchard to be as self-sufficient as possible.  If it's your kind of thing it can work brilliantly.
