I'm looking for a smallholding, with around 10-20 acres (can do a little more, little less) with 2 properties, in the UK or Ireland (will consider all areas).
Don't mind if it needs some work, outbuildings would be a bonus but not necessary.

There is a small village near us that is empty. There were 4 homes with many outbuildings and a lot of land- thing is it is in France ( near limoges airport). :eyelashes:

What sort of rough budget (for one needing restoration And for one that doesn't need work)?

40 k € but I saw one on Thursday that had house with adjacent barn conversion and other out building for 79€ . Major work was complete and it was being sold with materials purchased for completion.
Small house in next village sold for 4000 € but it cost 1500 to get mains water to it.
www.maupuy23-immobilier (http://www.maupuy23-immobilier) has a few farm buildings.

I think cc is related to the monthly rent given that you were on the rental pages. No idea what the abbrevations mean.
Here is a rennovation project for you. It sits in a small village high above one of 3 lakes with beach, boats, cafe and a small campsite. There is a riding/hacking centre down the road but it is very isolated and a good drive to Gueret or Dun.
If you have 14000 € then this would be good fun to rennovate but my guess is you would like outbuildings and land if you want to keep animals etc. Having said that this place may well have another garden at the end of a village and a barn across the road. Who knows? The French don't do Estate agenting very well.

I don't know how to put a link in so Strutt & Parker Ref: EXE130020s it's got a second property out buildings and a bit of agri land :innocent: it's the house at the back of me so it's no so close to the sea as I am but I think it has estuary views. If you buy this one I'll be your friend  :roflanim:

Just hang on for devolution in Scotland , there will be a mass exodus and abandoned houses everywhere, will the last person please turn off the lights...
-
Please can we keep to house finding! (btw there's already devolution in scotland...)
-
Thanks all I will have a look through the links, although we don't have a huge budget and most properties in the UK are too expensive, Ireland seems to be our best bet :)

Utter rubbish - and general scaremongering. As LAM says keep political stuff to one thread.
-
I'd ignore my link then though it has been reduced and I'd be your neighbour, I'll lend you me tractor so that would save you a bob or two
Did I mention the new reduced price £8,000,000 yep that be 8 million :excited: come on get your wallet out.
