Can I give my rabbits apple wood to chew on? I have a few apply trees and know rabbits need to chew to keep their teeth healthy
-
Yes. I use apple tree branches for my chinchillas over the years

Thank you

I ended up using pear wood as the sheep had killed a tree by eating the bark off it all the way round the trunk so we had to fell it anyway, so far the rabbits haven't chewed it

Mine used to like hawthorne and holly bits - the nice tender not too prickly parts, and also rose prunings

Rabbits love willow and brambles too.

That interesting DBE ,
I've always been led to understand that Holly wood etc. is poisonous for humans and quite a lot of other creatures to eat as it is an ever green .
Evidently wooden spoons made from holly wood are toxic to humans , when inadvertently used to stir food ..... the food can kill humans .
