Title: Poorly Call Duck
Post by: Raine on September 24, 2013, 07:38:20 am

Hello

Our horse owning neighbor just brought us an injured call duck.  Looks like a bite wound behind it's left leg.  I've treated it for maggots, given him some glucose and water by pipette and put him in a cat box with food and water.

I'm at work all day and can't get out early, so can't get to the vet till tomorrow.  Is there anything else I can do?

Hi

One of our call ducks had a severe wound on her back and wing due to cat attacking it. Seperated from flock,  sprayed on iodine to wound,  kept warm, and she came on a treat, hope you have the same success.

Unfortunately, he didn't make it through the day  :(

I hadn't realised how small call ducks were compared to our khaki campbells!
