:( , I did not realize how hard to find they are as I see loads, a friend of mine wanted another and cannot find one, she is near the Welsh borders in Herefordshire....I will keep a look out, I wonder if breeders do not advertise and just sell to friends etc as they are good strong little dogs!

They aren't a breed one off or small breeders bother with. Quite specialised and not enough money to be made Small litters 4 or 5
Hereditary disease is Canine Epileptoid Cramping Syndrome (CECS) so when you find one make sure parents were checked as clear.
Have you tried here?

A lot of small breeds have small litters.......my daughter often had not more than 4 pups from her Belington terrier but they were well sort after. I love boarder terriers but can not cope with another Terrier...
-
have you tried Preloved?
we got our pup through that site, and he is from top show/breeders.
worth a try.
have you asked your vet if they know of any litters? i heard they are a vets favourite breed, ours has one :innocent:
-
A lot of vets have them....I looked when my friend wanted another...seems they do not have to advertise anywhere :innocent:

Have you found one yet. We have a Border and take him to a local and well respected breeder to get him hand stripped. She may have some but is in the Lake District area, maybe a bit far for you?

hey my mum and dad know of a breeder near perth they tried to get there border bitch mated but she was too old, am seeing them tonight will find out her name for you

I have to say that I tried the KC website - wasn't impressed as we were never notified of any litters despite registering for updates of litters.
We actually got in touch with the vet and asked if they new of any litters and once born phoned the breeder and we got first dibs.
For BT's in Angus/Perthshire its worth checking the Courier and the P&J (especially on a Saturday.
There was a couple of bitch pups in the Courier a couple of weeks ago.
We'll be hopefully looking for another BT next year to join our current one.
I'd quite like a bitch but the boss isn't so keen - she'd prefer another lad.

thats the lady i was talking about and when i phoned her about wanting a pup she was able to give me the name of other breeders that would have litters as well, all of hers were spoken for when i phoned
