The big stores are already gearing up for Christmas. If you've got folk in your circle who want for nothing, consider giving them a Kiva voucher for Christmas. You give them a $25 voucher (or multiples thereof) and they loan it to an entrepreneur in the developing world. Once it's paid back, your chum can loan it again and again.
I was lucky enough to get quite a few Kiva vouchers for my 50th birthday last year and it's nice to be making a small difference.
The girl in the video is just lovely - and so is Kiva.

Thats a nice idea.
I haven't heard of Kiva before but previously when OH wanted bees but we wern't in a position to have any i bought him a donation of a bee hive in Africa.
