My 4 Saddlebacks went off last Monday morning and are now awaiting the butchers attention, they weighed in at 90kg with 17mm of back fat, 79kg with 11 mm of fat, 72 and 69kg with 15mm of fat so I am very pleased with this lot, it doesn't surprise me that one was so much heavier as he was much bigger as an 8 week old weaner.
My son isn't happy about us having a year off as I wanted and recons as they have gone so early this time that he can get the field right for next year especially if we don't get them until June.

]All sold as 1/2 or 1/4 pigs I am waiting for the Middle whites which will be ready to go in another 3 or 4 weeks.

do you sell the quarter/half pigs by kg?
what weights do the middle whites achieve?

Yes that's dead weight, and no I don't sell by the kg, I keep it simple and sell 1/2 for £180and 1/4 for £90.
This is my first time with Middle whites so no idea what to expect, they are 27 weeks now but just don't look quite big enough.
