Title: Selling meat diret to a Restaurant

I have been Approached by a Restaurant for their specials board I just wanted to know legislation involved to selling direct to a restaurant. Thanks Advance

I sold 2 pigs to my mum and dads pub - no issues for me  ;D

Others will know more than me but as long as your heard is in order, killed at a proper slaughter house etc you should be fine

Also transported in accordance with regulations ie kept at right temp and poss also butchered in a licensed cutting plant (eg by abbatoir or appropriately licensed butcher). Not sure about the butchery tho, I would speak to environmental health.

A lot of abbatoirs will butcher as well, so could the restaurant collect from them then it would save any problems for you, plus they can specify the exact cut they want

good restaurants will want to do their own butchery...
