Post by: mmu on September 10, 2013, 09:56:06 am
Does anyone know anyone who could transport a ram lamb from Kelso this week to anywhere within a couple of hours or so from Aberdeen?  Thanks.

Just curious is that from the Kelso ram sale - saw they had 5 shetland rams in - I think that would be an interesting day out

beedie bros might help if you ask, or they should have contacts if not.

If it is from the Ram Sales, there are wagons going that day to every part of the country you can think of, and the guys in the office are great at helping you find a wagon going the right way.

Beedie Brothers were great with my cows when I sold them, really nice and gentle and good value too. Recommended.

Great having the info - and they are based not far from me - certainly makes different things possible - thanks L&M

Beedie Bros are good also if you phone Henry Thomsons Sauchan they have lorries going up and down the road passing that area a lot. Thomsons will also tell you if they cant do it who will.
I wanted Wiltshires taken from Warick to Buchan area I phoned Thomsons about 10am they put me on to Longthones who picked the animals up a few hours later (had a lorry in the area) and I got the wiltshires at about 2am on the next day. I was very impressed I have also used Thomsons to pick up sheep at Lockerbie no problems.
