 i know you need to have a licence if you want to keep ostrich
but do you need one for rhea ?
and dose anyone here keep them
if so what do you use them for
-
 no dont need a license for rhea, some people i know have them just to sell eggs for hatching and some breed them to eat as meant to be low in cholesterol and very minimal fat.
-
brill thanks for that rhea here we come lol
I've been told the same thing about the meat
and been told the eggs are about 6 chicken eggs but very rich in flavour more like a duck egg
-
As far as I'm aware the above information is perfectly correct you don't need a license for a rhea. This has always surprised me are ostriches really that much different to an ostrich.
Some one up the road from me has rheas they really don't look much smaller.
