Has anybody else got one of these?

We have, and I must say it's absolutely brilliant. Now I'm not normally one for gadgets, but I love the fact that we can now keep our eggs in date-order (fresh from the top for poaching, and older ones from the bottom for baking).
The price is £18.95 inc P&P, and available in various different colours from www.egg-skelter.co.uk (http://www.egg-skelter.co.uk).
I should add that I have no connection with the company - I just think they're a great idea, and hence figured other members might think so too!

Yes I have one, got it for christmas! love it! ;D

I use the egg tray in the fridge. Might just be me, but I can sort by laying order just as easily as spending 19 quid on a students A level project. :-\
£19 buys me a bag of pellets & a bag of hempcore. It just strikes me as "Lakeland catalogue" kinda thang.
-
Yes of course its an unnecesary gadget! but a novel one! ;) I dont keep my eggs in the fridge, never have done, I used to keep them in a cardboard tray until my greedy greyhound ate it and 36 eggs :o
-
Because eggs are porous it's not supposed to be good to keep them in the fridge as they absorb other flavours, so I'm told anyway ;D
-
Wellieboots is of course right, and I wasn't trying to say that these were essential, just that I think they're a bit of fun. Besides, if they were in the Lakeland catalogue, guaranteed they'd be more than £20!

I think they look fun too - same vein as the banana holders imo
-
I'm pretty sure they are home/handmade by a small set up,??? I first saw them on the river cottage forum.

This gadget looks fab! I have 6 eggs a day, so I will have to stick to card boxes with a date written on them...I keep older ones in the fridge, fresh ones out for a week or so. Never had one tasting of salami so far, although that actually might be nice ;D :&>

Love the idea but I think little children may be tempted to make the eggs roll out!!!!!!! ;D I keep my eggs in a pottery chicken in a cool place and box them up asap to sell!!!
