We are moving out of ours at the end of September, although I think the landlord is going to put heating in and then put the rent up.  Near Market Drayton, Shropshire. 5 bed farmhouse on a big shooting estate, 4 outbuildings, 12 acres, no neighbours, mile long drive.  Let me know if you want more details... 07974 353754

Landlord is brilliant - very fair and just leaves you to get on with it.  He always says if you pay your rent and keep your head down he has no reason to come round (and with a couple of hundred other farms to worry about he doesn't have time either!), rent is likely to be 1200-1300 for the house (we're paying £1050 with no heating installed) plus 65 a year per acre.

We had him knock the kitchen through into the utility room, so there's a massive kitchen now.

It's pretty isolated considering it's only 15 mins from town.  5 mins of that journey is getting along the track to the road!

In winter with no leaves on trees we can just about see two other farms, in summer we can't see any other buildings.

They've let us have pigs, and there is a stable block with room for probably 5 horses.

The community of tenant farmers is very good, regular village events if you want, pub in the village is ok, and only 1/2 hour walk.
