I have been after a trio of Golden Partridge Pekins since I saw some at an auction a few months ago, but I was out-bid that time - they went for £15 per bird!
Have been back to the auction today and got myself a lovely trio, am really happy with them - they seem really happy, healthy and alert - and best of all only £6 per bird. Feel like I got 3 for the price 1.

Well, he has been crowing a little bit today but we shut him in last night and the coop is dark - we didn't hear him until around 830am. His crow is quite quiet compared to larger birds I have heard - I am playing it by ear though for now.
We live on the end of a row of 6 houses in the countryside with just fields to the rear, front and one side. But we do have immediate neighbours so if they say anything then I will move him right to the bottom of the garden.

Yes, they really are handsome aren't they? We have had (and still have) lots of ex-batts for eggs but I have never really picked some birds before. These are in our garden too rather than down the field so are kind of pets really, I love them already. :P
