I agree - I've just used the same for mine and it's brilliant!

Creosote substitute inside and out helps kill of some of the bugs do it every year.

I combine the two approaches. Creosote substitute inside and cuprinol outside. The chickens seem quite happy with it! :chook: :chook:

Wilco garden colour is similar to cuprinol... and much cheaper!

I also use Cuprinol Duck's Back - nice range of colours and goes on easily.

I've been using Creosote inside and Cuprinol Garden Shades on the outside of all my houses and field shelters. They're all colour co-ordinated in cream with blue roofs/doors/corners etc. Looking great if I may say so myself. All freshly done so no idea how it'll cope (and after our first rain for weeks yesterday, some of the cream is looking a little streaky from the roof run-off!).

We do the same as HesterF. Cuprinol shades outside (blue, green and burgundy) then a 50:50 mix of original creosote with paraffin. Paint Cuprinol first then creosote, otherwise the Cuprilnol won't stick to any surfaces with creosote overspill.
