Title: Mystery solved!
Post by: Louise Gaunt on August 22, 2013, 08:48:24 pm
I was harvesting beet root today and noticed the leaves had been eaten, an d the tops if the chard were missing. I have just been down the paddock to shut the hen house and found the culprit- a roe deer enjoying my hard work! They appear in the woods near us, but today s the first time I have caught one snacking on my veg patch.

I bet it has red poo too......not sure how you are going to keep them out unless you put some fencing up

maybe its the Chard as my neighbour was invaded by roe deer last year and they at a long row of the stuff. She has no Chard this year and I have seen no evidence of visitors when I pop up to collect her spare cauliflowers for my pigs.
