Title: Scots Grey Large Fowl - No longer needed! :)
Post by: Clansman on August 20, 2013, 04:49:33 pm
Have managed to source what I need now to start breeding

Thanks all who have helped out

------------------------------------------

I'm picking up three from Oneeyedhen soon but would really like another dozen or so.

Having a hard time finding any to buy from any of the contacts i've been given, so if anyone has or knows of any for sale give me a shout.

I'm in Ayrshire but travel regularly down to Chester and up to Aberdeen

Mainly after hens but would take one or two cocks

Try Sandy and John Cumming at Glenfarg 01577 830736

John's the judge at the Scottish Smallholder and Grower Festival this year and breeds top quality Scots Greys (and Dumpies)

have you tried Rory Innes -breed club secretary. I've just sold what I was going to sell unfortunately but will have more next year.

Sandy Cumming will not talk on the phone these days.

There is usually a few at the Dingwall sale but that might be a bit to far for you. Rare breeds coming up Lanark end on month might be some there. Both have catalogues on line a few days before the sale. O and there were some on flee bay a wee while back.

try Ben Crosby at Brittannic Rare Breeds-he's down in Chelmsford though, he sometimes has stock for sale. They are hard to find, took me a year to get stock.

Let the Scots Grey breeding begin!
