Title: Heavy Duty Stainless Milking Bucket and lid 12 lts £45
Post by: darkbrowneggs on August 20, 2013, 03:32:03 pm
Real good quality - last for more than a lifetime!  Nice tight fitting lid.  Current retail £87.  Collect Worcestershire WR6 5AG, also smaller 8 litre bucket for £25 or £60 the lot. (amended due to rubbish arithmetic  :roflanim: )

I used to milk into the small bucket then have some folded muslin over the lidded bucket and empty it in as I milked, putting the lid back on, so if there were any accidents not much milk was lost or spoilt.  Real pleasure to use, and useful for lots of other tasks as well round the kitchen.

Sorry am too far away, but you are advertising one for 45 quid, the other for 25 and then the two together for 100? What's there for the extra 30 quid?

Just puzzled... I am looking for a large lidded milking bucket/churn, but am in the Scottish Borders...

Yes - arithmetic was never my strong point  :roflanim:   Meant to say £60 for the lot  :roflanim:

I do have a stainless churn from a milking machine  In fact if you have anyone who is good with machines I will throw the machine and teat cups in for £75 its a little electric model for one cow, but it needs a serious amount of attention.  I did have it sorted out and ready to go with all the rubbers replaced, but it got left in the corner of the barn to moulder for years when I couldn't get my last cow in calf then finally gave up milking altogether.

The churn is even more solid than the buckets  :roflanim:

I do have my own goats milking machine, and unfortunately sending the stainless steel stuff by post/courier would just make it too expensive.  Annoyed dot com.... :(  sorry.

Are you in a mad rush to get it all collected?  I'd be very interested the lot - churn, buckets and milking machine.

Family are north of Brum; sis is bound to be out your way spinning somewhen, or Pa fishing - but I couldn't predict when...

Oh!  Unless, of course, your cousin would be visiting and then returning to Dumfries by car...  :eyelashes:

Sorry - my cousin is in her late 70's and her husband in his 80's with gout, so they come by train and taxi, so I fear that's a non starter.

Obviously these things are coming to light as I clear out, so I would prefer them to go quickly otherwise I shall just end up with another heap somewhere else  :eyelashes:

The Milking machine is quite a reasonable size bit of kit, so probably not something you could just stick in the boot of the car if you know what I mean plus with the churn and buckets.... it would probably be ok in a biggish estate or pickup.  Depends what your relations drive.

Don't mind hanging on for a bit, but as each thing comes up I am generally sticking it on Preloved or in the Hereford Times.

So far this week I am advertising
Chicken feeders and drinkers,
an Owen Sidesaddle,
a Victorian Style Sidesaddle Habit and hat,
a ladies riding bowler and silk top hat,
and 3 oak trusses!!!  :roflanim:

I don't know whether I am coming or going when I answer the phone   :roflanim:

Oh and of course my lovely Jag..... and the house  :roflanim:
