For anyone who's not on facebook (and apologies to those of you who are and have already seen it ;)) but I had to share todays photo's of my boy
Murphy is 30 and is loved adored by all of us here :innocent:

I'm not into equines but I could have hugged Murphy all day last time i went to visit Karen, he's very cute and so good with kids as well!!!
-
Aw, bless
-
He looks wonderful. I love donkeys. Miss mine :(
-
He looks lovely. Definitely would get lots of cuddles here too
-
He looks a canny old man
-
He's GORGEOUS!!
And to think I passed within 20minutes of your house today and didn't have the sense to stop off! :(
-
What a smashing chap he is  I had a chocolate coloured donkey when I was younger and had so much fun with him. He even used to jump a course of small fences and would run like stink down the field with me on his back clinging on for dear life! I just love donkeys.

he's lovely!

He is lovely HH, forgive me I don't know what's going on in your life but last time I took note you were hugging cows and had just got your mini shetland ;D so what's the story with the donkey? Is it possible there's someone as soppy as me out there? ;D
-
Erm, yes I think so Goosepimple ::) ;D :innocent:
He and 'Spud' (Welsh Section A) are both 30 - they were rescues :innocent:
We've also acquired some goats :innocent: (also 'rescues')
And, ahem, apart from them and 14 chickens (and soon some extra table chooks and turkeys) We're just about all set :innocent: (til the next one comes along ;D)
It's been totally hectic with the kids being off, getting organised for the Smallholder & Grower festival and doing all my own stuff that I don't get much of a chance to keep everybody up to date with all the developments (and sometimes they happen thick and fast ;)) So yeah, that's the short version :D

So yeah, that's the short version :D
He's got ever such long ears though! ;D

Freeloader City Karen ;D same here - always a soft spot for a wounded or lost soul ::) I'll never have it 'sorted' like SallyintNorth!

What a cutie. I love his furry forehead.

I used to care for a lady's 3 donkeys when I was 13, after moving away from the ponies and farm animals and into town it was a rare treat for me and started when she had an operation and needed a hand, mum went to hoover for her and I mucked out, took it from there :)
Other than that only worked with a couple more recently during a few years where I was part of the farm nativity at Lochiehead, mostly Highland ponies and occasionally one of mine included, but we had to have a donkey every year obviously for Mary to ride in on, some years easier than others let me say :innocent: but the donks were just fab even the ones that had more mule moments ::)
If I ever get as far as Lesmahagow supermarket carpark again, I WILL track you down somehow 8)

C'mon you really should know better than that David ::) :D
There's always something interesting to see/chaos happening and you're always welcome to come and join in ;D the kettle is always on and we're always happy for a distraction (especially this week as the out-law in-laws are visiting - they don't get why anyone would possibly want to keep animals when you can go to work and earn money to buy it from the shop ::) They just don't understand us ;)) :roflanim:
Give me a ring/send a message next time you're passing and we'll meet you and show you the way up/talk you in
Same goes Ellie  and any other TASers going past Lesmahagow on the M74 - you're all welcome, the more the merrier :excited:
In fact....... I might plan something 'official' for next year - forget T in the Park, we might do Feast at the Farm instead  Could get live music from Plums OH (any excuse to get her and the family up here ;)) do a bit of BBQing, have a bit of a shindig ? Whaddya all think ? Fancy a party ? :innocent: ;D ;D ;D

I never really thought much to donkeys, but I LOVE the look of yours. He looks so very intelligent and loveable. One in a million I would guess
-
That donkey is adorable!! I love his awesome hair :)
He would actually make me want a donkey instantly if I met him I think!!
Makes me smile :)

Be careful of a donkey that has just had a foal,
got bit on the lower leg, needed stitched and a trip to the health centre for six weeks.
she is back to normal again and tucked up in her stable.
believe me, thy can take some grip.
-
No chance of that with Murphy McGinty, he's a gelding ;) :innocent:
-
 I have always fancied a donkey, maybe my early riding days on Rhyl beach :innocent: , but unless I come into money I will not be having one of my own, I know they are not expensive but they do need space and a good dry shelter, your Donkey is wonderful..
-
Not referring to Murphy,
just a donkey experiance.
Mcg ;)
