I'm looking to make a rich / creamy type yoghurt - possible to do it without adding powdered milk? I will be using raw goats milk which I will sterilise by heating.
Also a good way / or decent maker to make a large amount of yoghurt - most seem quite small ie 1 litre. (I am planning to make yoghurt ice cream as well as eat it direct so would like to make it using 4-5 litres milk at a time). Fias farm talks about using a dehydrator to keep the milk warm (http://fiascofarm.com/dairy/yogurt.htm (http://fiascofarm.com/dairy/yogurt.htm)) but having never heard of a dehydrator never mind seen one its not clear that the shelves can be removed to add a container of cultured milk. I don't have an airing cupboard either.
