I thought you would not sleep, neither did I..it will soon be all in the dim and distant past!
-
Sadly I had to be at work by 6 but didn't sleep well last night
Vendor is being really stubborn but we think we've found a mutually disagreeable solution :D
-
 , well you should sleep better tonight....I would suggest the old hot milky drink and hot smelly bath before you go to bed.......
-
Think we've agreed dates... :fc: :fc:
-
 :fc:
-
Yaaay. When do you move in?
-
Solicitors are so slow... Still haven't exchanged but have agreed on the 30th... :fc:
-
30th.
 , Solicitors can move fast if they want....I have said this before on here but we were buying a house a few years ago and it seemed to be taking forever with both ends of our chain threatening to pull out, I was in regular contact with the estate agent who were connected to the solicitor as they were a new firm and looked good, turned out that they had done nothing at all in the previous weeks, thing our sale was pushed under the carpet or something, well, they agreed for us to go to the office and we did it all in one night...apart from me going to another solicitor next door to where I worked to get some right of way sorted...just shows you :innocent:
-
Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for exchange today!!! Will be lovely to get the vultures off our backs for a bit and get our school place sorted.
Drove 300 miles tonight and had a good discussion between us about plans for the new house - it's idyllic :D
-
Good luck for today, your plans will soon be reality

Well? Did you exchange? Is it booked for 30th? Not sure if you're celebrating or climbing walls.. :fc:

I'm about to climb a bridge... :(
:gloomy:

Pooooooooooooooo :o

Get firm with your solicitor to get it sorted. That's what you are paying for!
In the meantime just keep jotting your plans for when you are finally in. How the sheepshead will look. Where your chooks will go and don't forget the poly and veg patch :excited:

Things are moving... spoke to the solicitor via The Samaritans and despite an 11th hour query on one clause in the mortgage offer, he's confirmed that he's going ahead with the exchange...
-
 geeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, talk about roller coaster :relief: ,
-
You folk on here have put me off ever moving again. When I move out of here I will be IN the box not carrying it. ;)

Spoke too soon :(
Too low/tired to say much more. I've had about as much as I can take
-
:( Sorry spandit, you sound exhausted.
But the  solicitors and vendors deserve a boot up somewhere >:( >:( and I hope you can give it to them somehow. I don't know, ultimatum if it isn't sorted and exchanged by Friday and entry given for 30th then you pull out and let them stew with it even if you can't face actually pulling out. Sometimes folk mess around beyond all reason given the state of the market you'd think they would be delighted to have a ready buyer but then get blase and pushy and start screwing you because they haven't actually got everything lined up the way the precisely want yet
I'm coming around to MGWM's position - I want to move but have kept putting off because I can't see how to cope with livestock if finding a buyer comes before finding a new place, or if someone starts doing exactly this, messing about. If it was just me I could rent for a while or housesit or visit rellies but with animals it ain't so easy and they're not ones I want to just sell up and start again when I got somewhere.. I reckon I might as well put in for a grave site up my field and just stay put for good too :-\

 hang on in there. How about going away for the weekend to give yourself a break. It is mentally exhausting and you have been battling with it for sooo long.
I'm really dreading moving house but am desperate to leave where I am so we can follow our dream. It is an eyeopener how you and others have suffered at the hands of solicitors and time wasters
