Title: blackleg
Post by: Marlboro on August 06, 2013, 05:07:20 pm
They have got it again, did my best to drain the patch they are on, mucked it well and the 'b' things are keelling over like ninepins.  Just glad we have been eating them as babies at least we have had a reasonable feed out of them.
Anyone know of any good resistant varieties for next year?

Luckily I know you are on about potatoes and not some old pirate  :-J :innocent: . Hold on, no I'm thinking of black beard, my mistake  ;D .

I have no idea of any resistant varieties. My spuds had it last year. I was told to remove all the infected foliage down to ground level, and dig the spuds as normal. When i wanted them, It seemed to work.
