hello as above I have a mouse who is driving me mad,
it started by eating the bottoms of the shallots leaving only a hole,
and has now moved on to my carrots, well he's just pushed me too far...
I have tried to trap it with humane trap, as i can't put snap traps down outside.
I even watered down the holes and sowked the hole area in the hope it would move on,
probably hopefull thinking really,
no joy, I don’t want to use poisons, but I am open to any suggestions.
any ideas?...

Know what you mean about the frustration.
We had a couple of rats in the hen run at the beginning of the year. It drove us crazy. I swear they teased OH waiting with his pistol. They kept popping out and watching him just too well covered for a clear shot
Every time I went out in a morning they waited until the door of the run wasvunlocked and me shouting before they ran back down the tunnel!
We used every trapmthinkable with no success. They learned to take the bait without the traps getting them, sometimesvtossing the traps around!
We had a sharp rise in curious cat in the last few months and our kitten ( now year old determined hunter ) all hang around all the local coops and to date no rats detected :fc: :excited:
The good old hunting cat seems to have saved us from being driven insane :cat:

Me too  and keep the dogs and cat out of the polytunnel when they're set.
One year my OH set out to catch our annoying mouse in the polytunnel - 15 corpses later and we were just about on top of the problem :roflanim: - he must have invited all his pals to tea :garden:

:roflanim: I always have a trap in my feed store where i keep feed for my goat and chickens and other stuff but i haven't had any for a while thank god lol.
You can buy a small black box which has a powder in it and the mouse eats it then it dehydrates it then the mouse dies, but the only down side to them is that you can only use it until the powder is done, plus you have to go and look for the dead mouse! :(
