They are beauties VF. Always puzzled me why the silver lacing isn't on the outside edge of the feather -that's blue. With the laced blue, gold and buff the lacing is on the outside of the feather, as you would get with cloth lacing. Small thing and one of the anomalies of chicken breeds perhaps. Or am I missing something vital here? It has always puzzled me.

This is a project that I'm working on i spent 3 years on the bared rock and 4 on the leg bars i don't show eney more just like nice stuff .The plan is to hatch from the six hens the cock bird has good leg colour and a nice head i would sell all the stock hens and work on the new hens .There are 2 breeders that work with Cheshire poultry i could get eggs from 1 of these .So next spring i will video the new stock and see haw we are Dion i will sell some eggs to make a pool of good silvers . Dark brown eggs would make a good project to start laying Marians with good eggs you could make marran /am rock for size and road Whit a utility hen or blue or black marran /with Marian . chrismahon i never realized this very od its like the yellow gene for the leg colour.

Wow, they're nice  I keep LF SLW (and BLW) too. The SLWs are always the hens visitors comment on.

Chris, the 'lace' round the outside of the feather is either black, white, or grey (blue). The genes for the colour of the inside of the feather are separate, gold or silver.
