Title: Now this is nice .....
Post by: Roxy on July 25, 2013, 04:21:47 pm
such a shame I have just bought a house ;D   This is just down the road, a  couple of miles from my old house.  Beautiful setting, no near neighbours, just think what I could put in these barns.  Ok you have the Buxton winters ......run as a Donkey Sanctuary, of which June Brown, Dot Cotton of Eastenders is very much involved, and she visits regularly.  Potential to have a farm shop, as there is already café, and shop on site .......  Next question, can someone kindly lend me the money to buy it??

Not impressed with the house, I would have expected nicer for that sort of money. Still the land looks lovely and the outside buildings are good.

Oh, not the house I wanted - its the buildings and land ......always scan the outside area before the house.  You are  paying for location, location, location ....Peak Park, ideally situated for Sheffield, Manchester etc.  This is actually quite reasonable for what you are getting landwise.  I assume the owners are retiring, and relocating the donkeys.

quite like the house-needs some work but then they all do. That amount of buttercup bit annoying though.

If only - that looks fabulous.  Seemingly inflated price is because it is within the National Park boundaries, but plenty of takers for any business you would like to run there.

Even houses on the edge of the Park - just being in the Peak District - can command silly money.  Terraced cottages with a view of the hills, are £250,000!!!And of course, they could build houses at some time, and block that view

Not sure I'd pay that much!! Been there, done that!  Remember the dear old Peak Park Authority and their rules and regs.  They get upset if u put the wrong colour gravel down in your yard. lol  No Thanks
