I bought a trio of quail from Kevin and Elaine on here, Elaine brought them down on Sunday.  She wasn't sure how old they are.  I was letting my pal see them today and she said 'is that an egg or a poo - it was a lovely pretty little egg.  I've always wanted quail.  :excited:

Lucky you
I am having a new aviary built just now so I can get some canaries and a few quail.
I think I know where to get some canaries but still looking for someone selling quail so if anybody knows anyone selling quail I would be grateful  :fc:

I can't remember it's so long ago I had them, all I can remember is that they were delicious in home made mayo with nutmeg and pepper sprinkled on top  ::)

Yay! I love my quail, I have created a little flock of 10 ( 9 hens) and now get enough eggs to never need to buy any. They can be more fiddly but I think its worth it. I also think they taste just the same as chicken eggs.  :chook:

My brother gets his quail eggs from Waitrose - to hatch.  He's done pretty well with them.
