we have a landrover discovery for sale which would suit scrap or repair.
its a N reg, im not sure if its a 200tdi or 300tdi, but i think its the former.
diesel. towbar etc
mot til sept but is declared sorn at moment.
needs a few repairs and has a bit of corrision. conditon is reflective of age.
always started first time but now has flat battery as hasnt been used since its tyre burst after taking it off road.
no spare tyre as someone took it to pump up and never returned it.
to be sold as seen and taken as it is entirely.
we are near Ellon Aberdeenshire - thanks
offers anyone?

Worth about £500, I'd say, that's what ours went for
-
forgot to say, it had a brand new clutch fitted this spring.
thanks

I'd say it is a 300, I had a 200 which was L reg and was told that was the last year of them.
I only got £200 for mine and found out the scrap value would have been more like £4-500 if I'd waited. Wish I'd kept it long enough to get that but I couldn't afford to repair it to bring home from the mechanic's, and didn't like to leave it sitting there any more. It was quite corroded underneath too. You might find it worthwhile checking scrap values before selling privately, just in case it's worth more in pieces..

You may the find you get most money by splitting it and selling the parts through eBay. Bit more time consuming but worth it.

Put it on ebay. Describe it honestly. You'll get at least 500 quid for it and the buyer will have to collect it. Disco prices have gone up lately even ones with no MOT being sold for spares.
-
i did look at ebay but wasnt sure of the fees, i think it was £10 listing fee then extra for reserve price, then commission.
would you put it on for a pound or for more?
wev had a bit of interest from gumtree but not sold yet. im getting fed up with waiting in for people in this beautuiful weather, they dont all turn up! :-\

I've found the best way to get lots of interest on ebay is to start it off at a low price with no reserve. People are put off by reserves because they will think you want silly£ for it. Describe it as fully as you can. Ignore all the idiots who will ask if you'll take 100 quid for it. There are hundreds of disco enthusiasts, people who want spares, engines etc for various land rovers etc. There will be loads of interest. I used to buy old discos and break them for spares which was quite profitable but very time consuming and it's rare to find one for under 500 quid in any condition.
