Clicking on the initial colour tells it that it is one of five numbers that colour.  The numbers in the houses tells it which of the five you picked.  There are more numbers in the houses than you started with which is a "red herring" as is the second "pick a colour" and all the repeating your number bit........

It's still clever though!

My daughter just explained it to me.  She is very pleased to be smarter than her Mum.  I guess that's what breeding is all about - always improving the stock lol

I remember watching an illusionist on TV and he did something similar, basically easy if you have a good memory, it does amaze people, a good party trick especially in Youth Work!!
