We've used CS's for several moves and one thing for sure is  I'll never mess around with general solicitors even if they have a conveyancing arm  in their business.

Should we ever be in the moving mood again , I'll do everything I can to get the other sellers & buyers to go the conveyancing route as it is cheaper , much quicker and very efficient .

After several days of getting the answer "we're still waiting for some answers to enquiries", find out today that they've had the information for over a week and just haven't got round to processing it

Also found out today the lady we're buying from has pulled out of her purchase but will move in with family, could speed things up!  :fc:

I can feel the madness coming over the net
I remember being in a similar situation and found the solicitor had done nothing at all re our conveyancing so they were incredibly apologetic and opened up the office and did the lot in a few hours...just shows you!!
I think its often a case of paper left on desk until some one can be bothered or gets a boot up the jacksie!

You do need to be constantly on at them to check they are doing things.
