Just wondering if I need to sun cream savannahs very pink udder? (very pink as in natural colour, not burnt!) do any of you? I know she hangs about in her shed most of the day when hot.
-
Don't know about udders but Toto ( horse ) has a very pink nose which I use factor 50 on as it burns almost as soon as there is any length of sun. I would think if her udder is exposed then this would also need protection. may be wrong.

I don't know about udders either but got sun cream for my piggies from the pound shop. Factor 50 water resistant for..... you've guessed it, a pound
-
i would. my ponies get badly burnt noses without sunscreen and it can leave painful blisters and scabs etc which might affect your milking.

I'm about to slather some on her now. she is in the shed but in this heat I feel even a few minutes in the sun could be sore for her.

Plums - defineteley slap it on the udders. If we burn then so will they. Locked the pigs inside at lunch time to save them from burning.

All of our girls get covered in high factor as they burn really quick we also tend to use an after Sun lotion when they come in as well
I know it's a bit OFF but we had one get really burnt a few years ago
